    Library Techs are available to keep library technology running smoothly and to help students/faculty/staff with use of library/TNCC equipment.  

    On personal devices, we can help with school related items.  These include:

    • connecting to wifi
    • navigating Blackboard and  MyTNCC,
    • using MS Office and other programs
    • printing documents at
    • Thomas Nelson/school-related websites (Sam, Cengage, etc.)
    • loading Symantec or Microsoft Office which is free from the college
    • other technology needs related to student academic work at Thomas Nelson.
    • We are not allowed to repair student devices or help them to do things that are not directly related to school. 
    • Feel free to ask for help and we will do what we can.

    Library Mobile Hotspot Program

    A limited number of Mobile Hotspots are available for extended loan to Students in the TRiO and Great Expectations programs.  They are also available for students who can show Internet accessibility hardship.  The Hotspots are available by Application Only.

    Printing in Libraries on Campus

    Printing is available at the WEPA print stations in the Hampton and Historic Triangle Campus Libraries and the Hampton Wythe Hall gallery. 

    Print anywhere from your personal computer by going to  and logging in with your Thomas Nelson I.D. to upload your documents. You can also download the WEPA app to your computer. 

    Print out the document at any WEPA Print Station with your Thomas Nelson ID.

    Documents cost:

    • 10 cents per page for black & white, one-side printing
    • 15 cents per page for black & white two-side printing
    • 50 cents per page for color, one-side printing
    • 75 cents per page for color, two-side printing

    Payment must be by WEPA print card, a credit card (40 cents added service fee) or WEPA deposit account.  Cash is not accepted.  WEPA print cards are for sale in the Bookstore.

    Copying and Scanning In Libraries

    Copying is available for 10 cents per page.  Cash and coin only.

    Scanning is free.  Documents can be e-mailed and saved to a USB, Google Drive and Smartphone.  Printing scans is through the WEPA print station.

    The libraries do not have a public Fax machine.

    Technology/Media Equipment for Students to Check Out

    The Hampton and Historic Triangle Campus Libraries offer the following equipment for Students, Faculty and Staff to borrow from the library.

    • Laptop for 2-day (48-hour) loan (students only)
    • Mobile Hotspots for 2-day (48 hour) loan (students only)
    • Computer mouse
    • Kindle (pre-loaded with a variety of popular books)
    • Kindle Fire tablet
    • Camera and tripod
    • Video camera
    • Scientific calculator (Students only)
    • Graphing calculator (Students only)

    Two forms of ID are required for laptop and hotspot check out:

    1. a current Thomas Nelson student ID, and
    2. a current government-issued photo ID


    To borrow this equipment, students must complete the Media/Technology Equipment Agreement available at the circulation desk.  The 48-hour Laptop Checkout Policy is available online and at the circulation desk.

    Laptops run Microsoft Windows operating system and have Microsoft Office software installed (Word, Powerpoint, etc.). All laptops are Wi-Fi capable, but a network connection (such as the campus Wi-Fi, your home Wi-Fi, or other public place that provides wireless internet) is required for internet access.

    Present a valid/current Thomas Nelson ID card to borrow use these items for use in the Library.

    Technology Assistance Program

    This program partners a Technology Learning Specialist with students who need basic computer assistance in the following areas:

    • Word (APA/MLA paper formatting)
    • PowerPoint (presentation skills)
    • Navigating MyTNCC/Blackboard.   

    Sign up in the Need Help section of the library website or ask a staff member for assistance to sign up for available appointment times.

    Due to demand, we ask that students limit appointments to one hour per day; however, students may sign up for as many days as needed to understand a concept.  

    Campus WiFi

    Thomas Nelson provides free wi-fi access on campus to students and the public.  Students can login to the wi-fi network using their MyTNCC username and password.  For more information on signing in, please visit the Thomas Nelson Campus Wi-fi page.
