    TNCC TO BEGIN USING ID CARDS, DECALS – AIM TO BOOST SAFETY, PAY FOR PARKING EXPENSES – In an effort to increase safety and pay for parking-related maintenance, Thomas Nelson Community College is starting to institute several new rules this fall-among them, mandatory ID cards and parking decals- for students and employees.     TNCC AND ODU BAND TOGETHER TO TRY TO END TEACHER SHORTAGE – Thomas Nelson Community College has formed a partnership with Old Dominion University that it hope sill relieve the teacher shortage in the region. Students who successfully complete one of two new programs at TNCC will be guaranteed admission to ODU, where they can complete study for a bachelor’s degree. Daily Press 12/12/02

    TNCC GETS FUNDING FOR FUTURE ROCKET SCIENTISTS – Thomas Nelson Community College recently received almost $40,000 in grant money to help the school create two new degree programs related to aerospace technology. Funding for the Nation Aerospace Technical Education Center and SpaceTEC comes through the National Science Foundation. Daily Press April 17, 2004
